Baby J

July 23, 2006

Not much news to report here. Baby J turned 26 weeks yesterday and seems to be doing very well. Today marks his most active day ever. He did somersault after somersault in my womb. If he could talk, he would have been yelling, "weeeeeeeeee." It was pretty cool. Troy and I worked on the nursery and made quite a bit of progress. The wainscotting is about 95% complete (see pics below). Yay!!! Next on the agenda is to complete the dreaded mural. That's a project that has taken much longer than expected. It will all feel worth it when it's finished. Now, Let's hope I actually finish!! My next dr.'s visit at 28 weeks. I have to take the glucose test to check for gestational diabetes. I'll keep you posted. Thanks for checking in on our progress.

Take care,

Cherolyn

At last...the wainscotting is finally finished!!!

Proud Mom & Pop at 24 weeks

The picture on the left is a great shot of his teeth and nostrils. The picture on the right is a great big yawn. Still having trouble? Just look for the large black holes....that is his mouth!

July 10, 2006

I went in for my 24th week check-up and was able to get another ultrasound!! It was soooo fantastic. I got to see him give a real big yawn, hiccup and urinate. We were able to catch the yawn on film (see pic above). I can't believe how big his mouth is. He definitely takes after his mother!! It was a great appointment!!! I can really feel him moving more now than ever. He weighs a whopping 1.5 pounds. Now how does that explain the ten pounds I have put on since my last appointment???? Ah! I remember...I rediscovered Velveeta. Now I remember why I tried to forget it in the first place. ten pounds??? Good grief!! Thanks for taking the time to read and stay caught up with the Johnson family. I should have more pics after my 28th week appointment, so please come back for more riveting baby news!!

It's a boy!!

June 26, 2006

We are 22 weeks pregnant and feeling better than ever!! We found out last week that we are indeed having a boy!! I can occasionally feel him kicking, punching and squirming around. It's not painful or consistent, but it's definitely there. I don't have any strange cravings, but I do crave everything all of the time. Troy has been monitoring my food intake quite closely. He's astounded that someone can actually put away a pound of mashed potatoes (in one sitting) and quite happily skip all other food groups. Out of concern for our child, that was a one-time thing...at least that's what I tell Troy! Surprisingly my weight gain has been minimal, and the doctor is very happy with the way baby J and I are progressing.

Tata for now,

Cherolyn
